Overview
A foldable 3-axis gimbal stabilizer for smartphones with a manual focus wheel, zoom slide and app-based face tracking, running on a 2,600mAh battery rated for about 10 hours of shooting.
AOCHUAN positions this toward creators who want manual control on top of basic stabilization, which is what the focus wheel and zoom slide are for rather than just automated smoothing. The one-click switch between horizontal and vertical framing is aimed squarely at short-form platforms like TikTok and YouTube Shorts.
- 3-axis stabilization with 3 brushless motors
- Manual focus wheel and zoom slide
- 2,600mAh battery rated for about 10 hours
- App-based face tracking and shooting modes
Who it's for
Vloggers, TikTok and YouTube creators who want hands-on focus and zoom control alongside stabilization, and who need long shooting sessions without recharging. Casual users who just want a simple auto-stabilized selfie stick may find the manual controls unnecessary.
Pros and cons
- Manual focus wheel and zoom slide for creator control
- Folds down to a compact, 0.78 pound unit
- Roughly 10 hours of battery per charge
- One-click switch between portrait and landscape
- 250 gram payload limit leaves little margin for cases
- Face tracking and extra modes require the companion app
Performance notes
Three brushless motors paired with AOCHUAN's 7.0 anti-shake algorithm handle the stabilization, while the focus wheel and zoom slide give manual control that most basic gimbals leave out. The companion app adds face tracking along with panorama, time-lapse and cinematic shooting modes, and the one-click button flips between portrait and landscape without repositioning the phone. Rated payload tops out at 250 grams, which covers most phones but leaves little margin for a heavy case.
