Overview
The Marcy INE-002 is a single 2 pound dumbbell with a cast iron core and neoprene coating, sold in an azure blue finish. The listing is for one piece, not a matched pair.
It's worth flagging that this ships as a single unit rather than the pair buyers often assume with dumbbells, which makes it better suited to topping up an existing rack than starting one from scratch. The neoprene coating over a cast iron core is a common combination for light, rehab-friendly weights.
- Material: Cast iron with neoprene coating
- Weight: 2 lbs
- Color: Azure blue
- Sold as: 1 piece
Who it's for
Anyone building out a color-coded dumbbell set piece by piece, or using light weight for rehab, warmups or toning work. Not the right buy for someone who needs a matched pair in a single order.
Pros and cons
- Soft-grip coated surface
- Ships as a single piece, not a pair
- 2 lb weight limits use to light training
Performance notes
The neoprene coating gives the cast iron core a soft, grippy surface that's comfortable to hold for reps at light weight, which fits rehab, warmup or toning work better than heavier strength training.
