Overview
Not a plumbed-in machine, the Silonn ice maker is a countertop unit that turns tank water into bullet shaped ice. Fill the tank, press the on button, choose a cube size, and a sensor stops production when the basket is full.
Speed is what earns its counter space, as the first batch arrives within minutes of filling the tank. The listing mentions no drain or water line, so the tank gets refilled by hand during long parties.
Who it's for
Kitchens without a freezer ice maker get fresh ice on the counter for drinks and coolers. Households that want ice stockpiled for days are better served by a freezer bin.
Pros and cons
- First batch ready within minutes
- Two cube sizes to choose
- Sensor stops production when full
- Indicator light for low water
- Tank refilled by hand
- No drain or water line listed
- Bullet shape only, no square cubes
- Warranty not listed
Performance notes
Output depends on water in the tank, and an indicator lights when it runs short so production can resume after a refill. A sensor halts the cycle when the basket is full, so ice does not spill onto the counter. Small cubes suit chilling seafood and beer, while large ones are meant for glasses.
