Overview
This pack bundles 15 weighted Texas rig hooks with an extra wide gap (EWG) design, aimed at bass fishing with weedless presentations and sold in assorted sizes.
Texas rigging pairs a weighted, weedless hook with a soft plastic bait so the point tucks against the bait body, letting it slip through cover without snagging. The listing's color field reads lead, pointing to a lead weighted head molded onto the hook shank, while a separate plastic material entry in the spec sheet likely refers to packaging rather than the hooks themselves.
- 15 pieces per pack
- Extra wide gap (EWG) design
- Lead weighted heads
- Assorted sizes, targets bass
Who it's for
Bass anglers who fish soft plastics around cover, wood or grass and want an assortment of weighted, weedless hooks rather than buying single sizes.
Pros and cons
- 15 count assorted pack covers multiple sizes in one purchase
- EWG shape improves hookset on soft plastic rigs
- Lead weighted heads add castable weight without extra tackle
- Assorted pack means fewer of any single size
- Material listing is ambiguous between hook and packaging
Performance notes
The extra wide gap shape gives more room between the hook point and shank, improving hookset odds when a bass strikes a Texas rigged soft plastic. The lead weighted head adds castability and helps the bait sink at a controlled rate without a separate bullet weight.
