Overview
A Mossy fillet knife with a 4 inch blade in blue, sold with a sheath included. Sized for smaller fish and detail work rather than large game processing.
A 4 inch blade is on the shorter end for fillet knives, which trades reach for control on smaller fish and tighter cuts like trimming and skinning rather than breaking down large fillets in long strokes. Including a sheath covers basic blade storage and safety without needing a separate purchase.
- 4 inch blade length
- Sheath included
- Blue color
- Single piece
Who it's for
Anglers who mainly clean smaller fish and want a compact knife for detail cuts. Larger fish or high volume fillet work will suit a longer blade better.
Pros and cons
- 4 inch blade suits control and detail cuts
- Sheath included for storage and safety
- Compact size is easy to pack in a tackle bag
- Short blade means more strokes on larger fillets
- Attribute data does not specify blade steel type
Performance notes
The short 4 inch blade favors control over reach, useful for skinning, trimming, and working around bones on smaller fish, though it will take more strokes to fillet a large fish than a longer blade would.
