Overview
A patio host gets a freestanding stainless pedestal heater that burns propane and radiates warmth outward. The tank lives in an easy-lift access cylinder at the base, the starter is battery operated, and a wheel kit lets the unit roll to wherever guests gather.
It earns its place with high output, a self-contained tank cabinet and simple push-button starting, so a single unit can warm a seating group.
Who it's for
Hosts with an open patio, backyard or garden who can supply a standard propane tank will find the layout familiar and easy to move. Anyone heating an enclosed room, or wanting plug-in power, needs a different kind of heater.
Pros and cons
- High heat output for open patios
- Electronic ignition starts without matches
- Tilt valve shuts heater off if tipped
- Tank stored in an easy-access cabinet
- Propane tank sold separately
- Outdoor use only
- Coverage area not listed
Performance notes
A radiant element warms people and objects directly instead of heating the surrounding air, so open space and light breezes cut the effect less than they would for a hot-air heater. Output follows the gas flow set by the temperature control, and warmth falls off with distance from the unit.
