Overview
This CWOVRS chisel listing includes 5 pieces at a combined weight of 0.26 kilograms, around 9 ounces total. That light combined weight points to a set of smaller carving or detail chisels rather than heavy framing chisels.
Spread across 5 pieces, 0.26 kilograms works out to roughly an ounce and a half per chisel, a weight more typical of fine carving or hobby work than structural framing or timber joinery. Material and blade dimensions are not listed, so buyers doing precision work should confirm blade width and steel type separately.
- 5 piece chisel set
- 0.26 kilogram combined weight
Who it's for
Suited to hobbyists and woodworkers doing detail or carving work with a light multi piece set. Not intended for framing or heavy timber work, where a single heavier chisel would serve better.
Pros and cons
- 5 pieces in one set
- Light weight suited to detail carving
- Blade material and dimensions not listed
- Light build not suited to heavy framing work
Performance notes
With 5 pieces totaling only 0.26 kilograms, each chisel in the set is built light, better matched to fine detail and carving cuts than to driving through thick stock. Blade steel and handle material are not specified, so edge retention will vary with use.
