Overview
A GALAX PRO reciprocating saw running on 120V corded electric power, drawing 6.0 amps, with a 710 watt motor and a stroke speed of 2800 RPM, built with a high speed steel blade and a 6 inch cutting capacity.
As a corded 120V tool, it trades battery portability for continuous power, and its 6 inch cutting capacity and 6.0 amp draw put it in line with mid-range recip saws meant for framing, demolition, and pipe cutting rather than fine or precision work.
- 120V corded electric power
- 6.0 amp draw
- 710 watt motor
- 6 inch cutting capacity
Who it's for
Suits users doing demolition, remodeling, or heavier cutting jobs who want steady corded power without battery limits. Less suited to jobs needing cordless mobility away from an outlet.
Pros and cons
- Corded power stays constant through long cuts
- 6 inch cutting capacity for framing and demolition
- 710 watt motor for mid-range cutting power
- Corded design limits mobility to outlet range
- Not suited to fine or precision cutting
Performance notes
The 710 watt motor and 2800 RPM stroke rate drive the high speed steel blade through material up to 6 inches, with the corded 120V supply keeping power constant through longer cuts rather than tapering off as a battery drains.
