Overview
Routing traffic for a small office or lab without fan noise is the role suggested by this MikroTik unit, which runs a single core processor cooled passively. Almost nothing else appears in the listing, so treat the MikroTik spec sheet as the source of truth.
Silent passive cooling suits a closet or desk where fans would be a nuisance. The listing names no ports, interface speeds, wireless or software details, so it cannot be judged on this information alone.
Who it's for
Technicians standardising on MikroTik hardware who know the model from its spec sheet. Home users wanting simple app based setup should look for a consumer router with documented features.
Pros and cons
- Fanless, silent operation
- Compact and light
- MikroTik hardware for admins
- Port count and speeds not listed
- No WiFi information given
- Modest single core processor
Performance notes
Routing speed on a small router like this is limited by the processor once firewall rules and NAT are active, and a single core at this clock suits modest connections. Passive cooling depends on airflow around the case, so it should not be boxed in. Real throughput figures are not given in the listing.
