Overview
Hauslane's 30 inch wall mount range hood converts between 6 inch ducted and ductless use, pairs a double aluminum mesh and charcoal filtration setup with 3 exhaust speeds, and fits ceilings up to 9 feet without an extension kit.
Fan noise at full speed is the recurring tradeoff, and the motor's lifetime warranty is worth noting since it doesn't necessarily extend to every part of the unit.
- 6 inch duct or ductless convertible
- Double aluminum mesh and charcoal filtration
- 3-speed exhaust fan
- Lifetime motor warranty
Who it's for
This suits kitchens that want strong smoke and odor clearing with the flexibility to run ducted or ductless. It's less suited to anyone who needs a quiet hood running at full exhaust speed.
Pros and cons
- Clears smoke and odor effectively
- Halogen lights swappable for brighter LED
- Converts between ducted and ductless use
- Loud at full exhaust speed
- One buyer's fan-speed control failed early
- Lifetime coverage applies to motor only
Performance notes
A 3-speed exhaust fan draws air through aluminum mesh filters that trap grease, with optional charcoal filters added for ductless odor control, exiting through a 6 inch duct adapter or through the charcoal filters when run ductless.
