Overview
A 656 foot spool of clear monofilament fishing line rated at 43 pounds test and 0.45mm diameter. Nylon construction suits general spinning and casting applications where a clear, stretchy line is preferred over braid.
At 43 pound test and a thick 0.45mm diameter, this spool sits toward the heavier end of monofilament lines, more suited to larger fish or leader material than light finesse presentations. The 656 foot length gives enough line for multiple respools rather than a single reel fill on larger conventional setups.
- Nylon monofilament construction
- 656 feet of line per spool
- 43 pound line weight
- 0.45mm diameter, clear color
Who it's for
Anglers who want a clear, stretchy monofilament in a heavier line class, useful as main line for bigger species or as leader material spliced to lighter line or braid. Not the choice for anglers wanting thin diameter for casting distance or for those who prefer braided line's low stretch.
Pros and cons
- 43 pound test suited to larger fish
- 656 feet gives multiple respools
- Clear color for lower visibility in water
- Thick 0.45mm diameter reduces casting distance versus thinner lines
- No review data available
Performance notes
Monofilament like this stretches under load, which absorbs shock during hard strikes and helps prevent hook pulls, at the cost of less direct feel compared to braid. The 0.45mm diameter is thick for its class, adding abrasion resistance but also visibility in clear water compared to thinner fluorocarbon leaders.
