Overview
A carbon composite shell forms the outside of the SMK Titan Carbon, with a full face design and a quick-release strap. Inside, a drop-down smoke sunshield and a Pinlock anti-fog insert help vision stay clear.
Carbon construction with a sunshield and anti-fog insert included gives strong value in features. It is DOT approved and the liner removes for washing. The listed weight looks like a boxed figure, so the helmet's own weight is unclear.
Who it's for
Street riders who face changing light and cold, fogging mornings will use the sunshield and Pinlock daily. Track riders who need other certifications should look elsewhere.
Pros and cons
- Carbon composite shell
- Pinlock insert included
- Removable, washable liner
- Only DOT certification listed
- True helmet weight unclear
Performance notes
Protection comes from the composite shell spreading impact and the polystyrene liner absorbing it. Clear vision relies on the Pinlock insert sealing against the shield. The ventilation and breath deflector move air across the visor to reduce fogging.
