Overview
Not an upright freezer with shelves, this unit is a compact chest model with a lid that lifts from the top. Storage baskets come in the box for sorting smaller items. It stands on its own, with no built-in trim needed.
A narrow body and light weight make it easy to place in a small apartment or spare room. Energy use is not listed, and the capacity suits overflow storage more than bulk buying.
Who it's for
Renters and couples who batch cook get extra frozen space in a footprint narrow enough for a closet corner. Large families buying in bulk will outgrow it quickly.
Pros and cons
- Light enough to move without help
- Narrow body for tight spaces
- Storage baskets included
- Top lid limits cold air loss
- Energy use not listed
- Small capacity for bulk buying
- Plastic lid material
Performance notes
Chest designs hold cold air when opened because cold air sinks and stays in the cabinet, which steadies temperatures during quick visits. Sorting items into the baskets cuts time with the lid open. Frost builds on the walls over time, so check the manual for how to clear it.
