Overview
Equator pairs a front loading washer and a vented dryer in one drum, so clothes wash and dry without being moved. Moist air leaves through an exhaust vent during drying, and a pedestal lifts the door to an easier loading height.
Doing laundry in one footprint is the reason to look, especially in a condo or accessibility setup where the pedestal raises the door. The drum is compact, and vented drying needs an exhaust route to outside air, which rules out some closets.
Who it's for
Small households in condos or accessible homes get washing and drying in one place with a raised door. Large families and spaces with no exhaust route are poorly served.
Pros and cons
- Washes and dries without moving clothes
- Pedestal raises the door for easier access
- Sani and Pet cycles named
- Power cord included
- Small drum for bulky bedding
- Vented drying needs an exhaust route
- Heavy to move once placed
- Full cycle list not in specs
Performance notes
Drying time depends on load size and on the vent run, since a long or blocked duct slows moisture removal. Small loads dry more evenly because the drum must tumble clothes through warm air. Spin speed governs how much water is left before drying begins.

Frequently asked questions
How do I care for the vent on the Equator EZ 4800 V combo?
Vented drying sends moist air out through a duct, so the duct run needs to stay clear of lint and kinks. The listing does not give a vent size or cleaning schedule, so follow the Equator manual.
Does the Equator combo need a separate dryer?
No. It washes and dries in the same drum, with vented drying listed as its form factor.
What does ADA mean on the Equator listing?
The model name lists the pedestal as ADA, which points to a raised loading height for accessible use. Confirm the exact height with the seller if it must meet a specific requirement.
What comes in the box with the Equator EZ 4800 V?
Included components list a power cord, and the model number covers the combo unit and the PDL 4455 pedestal. No vent kit is listed.
