Overview
Self-lit OLED pixels form the picture on this LG evo set, each one dimming on its own under LG's AI processor. A supplied wall bracket mounts it close to the wall, and webOS with the Magic Remote runs the streaming apps.
Wall hanging is the whole idea here: LG supplies a bracket for a near-flush mount and lets the screen show art when idle. Brightness Booster Max lifts highlights for rooms with daylight. Weight and width make installation a job to plan, and LG notes a slight gap to the wall can remain.
Who it's for
Large living rooms with a clear wall and seating well back from the screen get the most out of this panel. Viewers in a small room, or anyone unable to anchor a heavy set to the wall, should choose a smaller model.
Pros and cons
- Wall bracket supplied for a near-flush mount
- Self-lit pixels for true black
- FreeSync and G-Sync with Game Mode
- Remote batteries included
- Heavy set for a wall install
- Slight wall gap possible, per LG
- Labor charged after the first warranty year
- Peak brightness not listed
Performance notes
Contrast comes from pixels switching off individually, so dark rooms show black without haze. The brightness booster determines highlight punch under daylight, and the AI processor handles upscaling. On the wall, the bracket design governs how close the panel hangs, and LG notes the install environment can leave a small gap.
