Overview
The PUR PPT111M is a countertop filter pitcher using activated carbon filtration, holding 2.6 liters of water in a plastic housing that weighs about 2.66 pounds.
As a pitcher-format filter, it's meant for pour-and-chill use in a fridge door or on a counter rather than filtering large volumes in one pass. At 2.6 liters, capacity sits on the smaller side of pitcher filters, suited to individuals or small households rather than filling large containers at once.
- Activated carbon filtration
- 2.6-liter (about 0.7 gallon) capacity
- Countertop pitcher format
- Weighs 2.66 lb
Who it's for
Works for anyone who wants a low-cost, no-installation way to filter tap water a pitcher at a time, especially singles or couples. Larger households needing bigger daily volumes may find refilling a 2.6-liter pitcher repeatedly a chore.
Pros and cons
- Simple pour-and-filter operation with no installation
- Compact and light at 2.66 lb
- 2.6-liter capacity is small for larger households
- Plastic construction rather than steel or glass
Performance notes
Filtration runs on activated carbon, which adsorbs chlorine taste and odor and some contaminants as water passes through the cartridge under gravity in the pitcher's spout.
