Overview
Rolling through a crowded gate on four spinner wheels, the SwissGear Sion carry-on turns in tight spaces without tilting. Front pockets hold travel documents within reach, while packing straps and a wet bag organize the main section.
Everyday practicality is the reason to buy: flexible fabric that squeezes into bins and pockets you can open in line. The listing gives two different weights and two volumes, which makes tight comparisons hard.
Who it's for
Weekend travelers and commuting professionals get quick access pockets and a case that gives a little in a full bin. Travelers carrying breakables should consider a hardside case.
Pros and cons
- Quick-access front pockets
- Spinner wheels for tight spaces
- Removable wet bag
- Side carry handle
- Weight figures conflict
- Volume figures conflict
- Soft shell offers less crush protection
- No TSA lock listed
Performance notes
Polyester construction flexes, so a full case can still squeeze into a crowded bin where a hard shell would not. Spinners take the weight on all four corners, and the locking handle sets a steady push height.

Frequently asked questions
Can the SwissGear Sion go in the overhead bin when expanded?
SwissGear sizes it for most airline overhead compartments at its exterior of 22.75" x 14.25" x 10.25". The expansion zipper adds room beyond that, so close it before boarding if your airline is strict.
How much does the SwissGear Sion Evergreen weigh?
The bullets say 8 lbs and the specs say 9 pounds. Weigh it at home before flying on a strict airline.
Does the SwissGear Sion have a TSA lock?
No TSA lock is listed. The lock type is zipper.
Will the SwissGear Sion fit under a plane seat?
No. It is an overhead bin carry-on, too tall for underseat storage.
