Overview
The Metabo NT1850DG is an 18V cordless nailer weighing 5.5 pounds, measuring 11 by 3.5 by 10 inches. It runs on battery power rather than a pneumatic hose, with a battery included based on the listing.
Cordless nailers trade the need for a compressor and hose for a heavier tool body, and this one's 5.5 pound weight and mixed-material construction fit that pattern. Metabo's power tool division, formerly Hitachi in the US market, has a long history in nail guns specifically, which supports the brand fit here even though the listing does not spell out nail gauge or magazine capacity.
- 18V cordless power
- 5.5 pound weight
- 11 x 3.5 x 10 inch body
- Battery included
Who it's for
Fits a builder or DIYer who wants cordless freedom without dragging a hose and compressor around a job site. Less suited to anyone who needs a specific nail gauge or magazine capacity confirmed before buying, since those details are not in the listing.
Pros and cons
- Cordless with no hose or compressor needed
- Battery included, ready to use out of the box
- Nail gauge and magazine capacity not specified
- Heavier than a pneumatic gun of similar size due to the battery
Performance notes
At 5.5 pounds, this nailer sits in a manageable range for repeated overhead or angled use, and the included battery means it is ready to run without a separate purchase.
