Overview
A scented, clumping clay cat litter from Cat's Pride formulated to target odor-causing bacteria, sold in a 12 lb bag and marketed for lightweight, premium odor control.
Litter that markets bacteria control alongside clumping is addressing the source of ammonia smell rather than just masking it with scent, since odor in a litter box largely comes from bacterial breakdown of waste over time. Being labeled lightweight matters for anyone lifting or pouring a full box regularly, since clay litters can otherwise run heavy at this bag size.
- 12 lb bag
- Clumping clay formula
- Destroys 99.9% of odor-causing bacteria
- Antibacterial scent
Who it's for
Suits cat owners who want a scented, odor-focused clumping litter in a manageable 12 lb bag. Owners of cats sensitive to scented litter, or households wanting an unscented or non-clay alternative, should look elsewhere.
Pros and cons
- Targets odor-causing bacteria directly, not just scent masking
- Granular clumping clay for easy scooping
- Lighter bag weight than many 12 lb clay litters
- Scented formula, not suitable for cats sensitive to fragrance
Performance notes
The granular clumping clay forms solid clumps for scoopable waste removal, while the antibacterial claim of destroying 99.9 percent of odor-causing bacteria points to a treated formula rather than plain unscented clay. The added scent layers on top of that bacterial control rather than replacing it as the primary odor strategy.
