Overview
The DEWALT DXVO5P is a corded electric tool drawing 120 volts and 5 amps, with a 960 watt motor and a weight just over 16 pounds. DEWALT lists it in its Specialty lineup, and the listing does not spell out the tool's exact task beyond these power figures.
That output and the 16 pound weight point to a mid-size shop tool rather than a handheld driver, but the listing stops short of naming the specific job it performs. Buyers should check DEWALT's own product page for the DXVO5P model before ordering to confirm exact function.

Who it's for
Shoppers already set on the DEWALT DXVO5P by model number, since the listing itself does not describe what the tool does. Not a fit for anyone comparing tools by task first, given the sparse description.
Pros and cons
- 960 watt motor for consistent corded power
- No battery to charge or replace
- DEWALT build on a specialty tool
- Listing does not state the tool's specific function
- 16.19 pounds is heavier than handheld cordless options
- Corded design ties it to an outlet
Performance notes
A 960 watt motor on a 120 volt, 5 amp corded connection gives consistent power without battery runtime limits, at the cost of needing an outlet nearby. The 16.19 pound weight suggests a tool meant to sit on a bench or be used with both hands rather than a light handheld unit.
