Overview
The AOBEN 3705 is a corded, AC powered wood router weighing 10.69 pounds, built for shaping edges and cutting grooves in wood without a battery to manage or recharge between sessions.
Running on AC current rather than a battery means no charge time and no runtime limit, though the router stays tethered to an outlet. At nearly 11 pounds, it reads as a full size unit better suited to bench or router table use than quick handheld trim work.
- AC powered corded design
- 10.69 pound body weight
- No battery included or required
- Router built for wood edge and groove work
Who it's for
Woodworkers doing edge profiles, dado cuts, or router table setups who value steady AC power over cordless freedom. Not a fit for job site work far from an outlet.
Pros and cons
- Corded AC power avoids battery charging downtime
- Substantial weight suited to stable bench work
- No battery option limits cordless portability
- Heavier than compact trim routers
Performance notes
AC power delivers consistent torque without the voltage sag some batteries show under load, and there is no runtime clock to watch. The 10.69 pound body adds stability when guiding the tool along a fence or template, at the cost of handheld maneuverability.
