Overview
The SM663 is a corded video baby monitor from UKSUP with a 480p camera and a Night Color vision mode for viewing the nursery after dark. It suits parents who want a plug-in monitor for one fixed room rather than a battery-powered or portable unit.
480p keeps the video feed light, which tends to mean a steadier connection than higher-resolution monitors, though the picture won't hold up to zooming in for fine detail. Night Color vision aims to show the room in some color at night instead of the grainy black and white typical of basic infrared monitors, which can make it easier to tell what a baby is doing. Being corded electric only, both the camera and the handheld unit need an outlet nearby.
- 480p camera resolution
- Night Color vision mode
- Corded electric power
- Model SM663 by UKSUP
Who it's for
Best for parents watching one crib in a fixed room close to a power outlet. Not the fit for anyone wanting a cordless or travel-friendly monitor.
Pros and cons
- Color night vision instead of black and white infrared
- Simple corded setup with no batteries to manage
- Rated 4.4 from over 1,600 buyers
- 480p resolution limits image sharpness
- Corded electric only, no cordless option
- No listed range or two-way audio specs
Performance notes
480p resolution reduces the data the camera has to send, which typically helps keep the connection stable, at the cost of crisp detail if you're checking fine expressions. Night Color vision relies on ambient or supplemental light to render color instead of switching to plain infrared, giving a fuller picture of the room after dark than black and white night vision alone.
