Overview
Mounting across the beam within the listed width range, this canopy gives open boats a shaded cockpit. A hard anodised aluminium frame carries ATLAS marine grade fabric, and the kit is sold with fabric and frame.
Coverage is described for open boats, runabouts, center consoles and inflatables. UV protection is listed, though the water rating is only resistant. Check the mounting width against the boat before ordering.
Who it's for
Open boat owners wanting a heavy duty canopy with a stated fit range suit it. Boats wider or narrower than the mounting range need another size.
Pros and cons
- Hard anodised aluminium frame
- Marine grade fabric
- UV protection listed
- Stated mounting width range
- Water resistant, not waterproof
- Storage boot not listed
Performance notes
Hard anodising treats the aluminium bows for marine use, and the marine fabric blocks sun and sheds light rain. Matching the mounting width to the boat decides how taut the top stretches.
