Overview
Built from birch wood with plastic components, the Ezebaby foldable high chair folds without tools and carries a listed weight capacity of 250 pounds. At 24 inches deep, 18 wide and 35 tall, it is sized to sit at a standard dining table.
A 250 pound capacity is well beyond what an infant high chair typically needs, which suggests this is designed to keep working as the child grows into a toddler seat, or even double as a small chair once the baby stage is over. The no-tools folding mechanism is the main convenience angle here, useful for anyone short on space who wants to put the chair away between meals. At 10.71 kg (about 23.6 lb) it is heavier than a plastic-only high chair, which should make it more stable at the table.
- Material: birch wood and plastic
- Weight capacity: 250 lb
- Dimensions: 24D x 18W x 35H inches
- Foldable: no tools required
Who it's for
Parents wanting one wood high chair that can plausibly serve from infancy through the toddler years without buying a second seat. Not the right pick for anyone wanting a lightweight, fully portable chair for travel.
Pros and cons
- Tool-free folding mechanism
- 250 lb weight capacity for long-term use
- Solid birch wood construction
- Heavier than plastic high chairs at 10.71 kg
- Age range listed vaguely as baby to adult
Performance notes
Birch is a harder wood than the pine used in many budget high chairs, which should translate to less wobble over years of use. The plastic elements likely cover the tray and any adjustment hardware, keeping the no-tools folding simple. Portability is listed as yes, though at nearly 24 pounds it is fold-and-carry rather than pocket-sized.
