Overview
Players who want a ukulele with a violin outline get an acacia body from Hofner, made in Europe. Nylon strings run to vintage-style open tuners on the headstock, and the instrument ships with a Hofner bag.
Its violin outline and natural acacia finish set the look apart, and the included bag covers transport. Missing data is the limit: size, scale length, weight and warranty are not stated.
Who it's for
Hofner admirers and casual strummers who value an unusual body outline will find it here. Students who need a specific ukulele size, or players who plug in, should wait for fuller specs.
Pros and cons
- Violin outline stands out visually
- Acacia top, back and sides match
- Vintage open tuners suit the styling
- Carry bag comes with it
- Size, scale length and weight not listed
- Veneer top over an unnamed core
- Open tuners leave the gears exposed
Performance notes
Sound comes from the acacia veneer top driven by nylon strings, with the acacia back and sides shaping the response. Tuning stability rests on the vintage-style open tuners. Because body size is not listed, projection and string tension cannot be judged from this page.
