Overview
A dark tree stand, a campsite at night or a backyard after sunset is where these head mounted goggles do their work. The GTMEDIA unit lights the scene with infrared, shows it on an inner screen and records what it sees.
Hands free viewing plus recording on one device suits hunters and wildlife watchers. The narrow view and front heavy weight make long wear on the head tiring.
Who it's for
Night hunters, campers and property owners checking for animals get a recorder and viewer in one. People wanting to move fast through dark woods will find the narrow view limiting.
Pros and cons
- Hands free head mount
- Records photos and video
- Adjustable infrared levels
- Memory card and reader included
- Narrow field of view
- Heavy for long head wear
- Helmet mount sold separately
Performance notes
The camera sensor sees reflected infrared light, so range and clarity depend on the IR level and how reflective the target is. Digital zoom crops the image, which trades detail for apparent magnification.
