Overview
The WD-PT-72W is a glass filter pitcher from Waterdrop using activated carbon filtration, built for countertop use. It is sold as a single pack weighing 1.62 lb empty.
The listed capacity figure of 8.5 ounces is inconsistent with what a pitcher this size would typically hold, so treat it with caution rather than as the actual fill volume, and check the current listing to confirm. What is confirmed is the glass build and activated carbon filtration method, which targets taste and odor rather than the alkaline mineral approach used elsewhere in this batch.
- Glass pitcher design
- Activated carbon filtration
- Countertop, no-install use
- 1.62 lb empty weight
Who it's for
Fits buyers wanting a glass pitcher with straightforward carbon filtration rather than mineral-adding alkaline media. Confirm the actual water capacity on the current listing before buying if that number matters to your household size.
Pros and cons
- Glass container avoids plastic taste
- Activated carbon filtration for taste and odor
- Countertop use with no installation
- Listed capacity figure is unclear and should be confirmed before buying
- Glass adds weight versus plastic pitchers
Performance notes
Activated carbon filtration works by adsorbing chlorine, odor and some organic compounds as water passes through the media, a different mechanism from alkaline pitchers that also aim to raise pH.
