Overview
The VyKure PR168 is a handheld laser rangefinder built for golfers who want slope-adjusted yardages plus a magnetic mount for the cart, with a flat-distance mode that also works for hunting or general outdoor use.
VyKure positions this as a budget alternative to name-brand rangefinders, and several buyers who cross-checked accuracy on the course back that up.
- 7x magnification with transflective LCD
- 3 to 1200 yard range at plus or minus 0.5 yard accuracy
- 6 measurement modes including slope and flag lock
- Magnetic mount plus IP54 weather resistance
Who it's for
Golfers who want slope compensation, a locking flag mode with vibration confirmation, and cart-mount convenience without paying premium-brand prices. One reviewer also used it for property distance work off the course.
Pros and cons
- Locks onto the flag quickly with a vibration confirmation
- Magnetic strip attaches directly to a cart or club
- Slope compensation adjusts yardage for elevation automatically
- Accuracy held up against pricier rangefinders in owner comparisons
Performance notes
The unit reads 3 to 1200 yards with a stated plus or minus 0.5 yard margin, using a transflective LCD and 7x magnification to stay legible in daylight. Six measurement modes cover slope compensation, flag lock, horizontal and height ranging, speed, and continuous scan, switched with a single button beside the power button. A built-in magnetic strip clips it to a cart frame or club, and the IP54 rating covers rain, fog, and dust rather than submersion.
