Overview
Not an adult-size glove, this Workhorse pair is cut for youth hitters. Oiltac leather and a second layer of leather cover the hand, while a one-piece neoprene cuff and thumb hold it on.
The extra leather layer is meant to cut stings and rattles. The Lycra back of the hand and silicone print complete the look. Adult sizes exist in the line, but this listing is the youth large.
Who it's for
Young baseball players moving into regular practice are the intended users. Older hitters should choose the adult size of the same glove.
Pros and cons
- Oiltac leather palm
- Second layer reduces stings
- Neoprene cuff and thumb
- Hand wash only
- Youth sizes only
Performance notes
A second leather layer adds padding over the palm to absorb contact shock. The strap closure locks the glove in place through the swing, and the Lycra back adds stretch for movement.
