Overview
The Diono 56201 is a highchair built with a polyester seat over a compact frame, measuring 15 inches deep by 16 inches wide by 9 inches high. It is rated to 120 pounds and weighs 6.46 kilograms.
The combination of a polyester seat and compact folded dimensions points to a fold flat or booster style highchair rather than a full sized wood or plastic model, which matters if you are working with limited kitchen space or plan to travel with it. A 120 pound weight rating is generous for a toddler product, effectively covering the full toddler range with margin left over.
- Polyester fabric seat
- 120 pound weight capacity
- 6.46 kilogram item weight
- 15 by 16 by 9 inch dimensions
Who it's for
Fits parents who want a highchair that folds down small for storage or travel rather than a permanent kitchen fixture. Families wanting a heavier, more furniture like highchair may prefer a wood model instead.
Pros and cons
- Folds down to a compact footprint
- Light at roughly 14 pounds
- High 120 pound weight rating
- Fabric seat may feel less sturdy than wood
- Compact size may limit tray space
Performance notes
A polyester seat over a compact frame typically means the chair folds flatter than wood or hard plastic models, trading some of that rigidity for portability. At 6.46 kilograms, roughly 14 pounds, it is light enough to carry between rooms or pack for travel. The 15 by 16 by 9 inch folded footprint is small enough to tuck into a closet or car trunk.
