Sixmou i3 4K Thumb Action Camera

Overview

Sixmou's i3 is a 4K action camera small enough to hide on your thumb, weighing 1.25 ounces and built to mount on your body, gear or metal surfaces without adding bulk.

A magnetic mount and 360 degree rotating spring clip let it clip to a collar, pocket or waistband, and seven extra mounting accessories extend it to bikes, motorcycles and helmets. The included waterproof case rates it to 131 feet, though the bare camera body is not waterproof on its own. Recording while charging is supported, which helps offset battery life that drops from 150 minutes at 1080p to about 90 minutes at 4K.

• 4K video recording at up to 90 minutes
• 360 degree rotating spring clip plus 7 mount accessories
• Waterproof housing rated to 131 feet (40 meters)
• 800mAh battery supports record while charging

Who it's for

This fits anyone who wants hands free point of view footage of cycling, riding or everyday moments without a bulky rig, particularly if discreet size matters more than a screen or manual controls. It is not the choice for anyone who wants to frame shots on a built in display or shoot long 4K sessions on one charge.

Pros and cons

Performance notes

Recording time scales down sharply with resolution: 150 minutes at 1080p, 120 at 2K and about 90 at 4K on the included 800mAh battery, so resolution choice is really a runtime decision. The magnetic mounting system is the other core mechanic, letting the camera snap to iron surfaces or the included lanyard pad in about a second rather than requiring a full mount and screw setup.
