Overview
Kenmore's 4.5 cu ft front load washer in metallic silver offers 12 wash cycles including Express Wash and a Steam Treat stain option, plus ENERGY STAR certification. Suits households wanting a compact, efficient washer with quick-cycle flexibility.
Kenmore positions this washer around speed: Express Wash handles a 3 lb load in about 25 minutes, and Accela Wash shortens full loads by up to 26 percent versus a standard cycle. Steam Treat targets set-in stains without a separate pretreatment step, and Cold Clean claims up to 90 percent less energy than the normal cycle.
- 4.5 cu ft front load capacity
- 12 wash cycles with 5 temperature options
- Steam Treat stain removal option
- ENERGY STAR certified, Cold Clean cycle
Pros and cons
- Quiet enough for in-home laundry areas
- Steam Treat option built in for tough stains
- 12 cycles cover most fabric types
- Express Wash finishes small loads in 25 minutes
Performance notes
Accela Wash increases wash action for full loads rather than simply shortening the cycle, which is how it claims a 26 percent time cut without sacrificing cleaning on an 8 lb load. Cold Clean relies on detergent and mechanical action rather than heated water, which is where most of the energy savings come from.
