Overview
A living room, bedroom or office wall becomes a fireplace with the Touchstone Sideline Elite Pro, mounted flat or recessed into a framed opening. Flame colors, ember lighting and a crackle sound set the mood, and a heater with a thermostat adds warmth.
Recessed or surface mounting, smart control and a sound effect make it feel like a built-in feature. Its heater is supplemental, so expect cozy rather than whole-home warmth.
Who it's for
Apartments and rooms without a chimney get a vent-free display with heat on demand. Those wanting real fire or primary heating need a gas or wood unit.
Pros and cons
- Mounts on wall or recessed
- Crackle sound adds realism
- Alexa and app control
- Plug-in or hardwired
- Supplemental heat only
- Heavy to wall mount
- Only one year of warranty
Performance notes
LED lighting creates the flame and ember effects, so the display runs with or without the heater on. The thermostat cycles the heater between its two power levels to hold the set temperature.
