Overview
The Damniss DA-GRILL is a pellet smoker built from stainless steel, finished in green, with an 85 lb body measuring 36 x 45 x 21 in. Its size and weight put it in the category of a stand-alone yard smoker rather than a portable unit.
Pellet smokers automate temperature by feeding wood pellets through an auger, and at 85 lb the DA-GRILL is built to stay in one spot rather than travel. Damniss is a newer name in the space, so buyers should weigh the stainless build against the brand's shorter track record.
- Pellet fuel with auger feed
- Stainless steel construction
- 36 x 45 x 21 in, 85 lb
- Green finish
Who it's for
Suited to backyard cooks setting up a dedicated smoking station who value stainless steel over painted steel. Less suited to anyone needing a smoker light enough to move between the patio and a truck bed regularly.
Pros and cons
- Stainless steel body resists rust outdoors
- Pellet feed reduces the need to tend fuel manually
- Large enough footprint for high-volume smoking sessions
- At 85 lb, not practical to move once placed
- Damniss has limited market history compared to established smoker brands
Performance notes
Pellet fuel means an electric auger feeds wood pellets into a burn pot to hold a set temperature, generally more hands-off than charcoal or stick burning. Stainless steel resists rust better than the painted steel common on budget smokers, which matters most in humid or coastal climates where the unit sits outdoors year-round.
