Overview
Remote workers, travelers and outdoor teams get a cellular hotspot that turns mobile signal into a Wi-Fi network for several devices. The Franklin Wireless JEXtream connects to T-Mobile and adds a gigabit LAN port.
Fast mobile data shared over current Wi-Fi lets a laptop, phone and tablet stay online away from home. The LAN port helps with wired devices. It depends on T-Mobile coverage, and battery life and data plan details are not listed.
Who it's for
Road warriors, RV travelers and pop-up event teams with T-Mobile service will use it most. Users in areas without that coverage will see little benefit.
Pros and cons
- Fast cellular to Wi-Fi
- Current Wi-Fi standard
- Gigabit LAN port
- Easy WPS setup
- Tied to T-Mobile coverage
- Battery life not listed
Performance notes
Speed depends on cellular signal strength and network load, so placement near a window helps. Wi-Fi spreads that connection to nearby devices. More connected devices share the same cellular bandwidth.
