Overview
A hiker, hunter or tactical sportsman gets a rugged wrist navigator here with long battery modes and a night-vision friendly screen, in a bundle that adds batteries, a cloth and a portable charger. Four satellite systems feed the position fix.
Rugged testing, long battery modes and security tools make it a field navigator rather than a casual watch. The extra charger and batteries extend time in the field. How the charger works with this unit is not explained.
Who it's for
Field users planning multi-day trips who value extra accessories and several satellite systems. Casual walkers who want color maps and fitness tracking are better served elsewhere.
Pros and cons
- Four satellite systems listed
- Portable charger bundled
- Batteries and cloth included
- Stealth mode and kill switch
- Charger use not explained
- Bundle weight is high
Performance notes
Reading several satellite systems and more than one frequency gives the receiver more signals to work from, which helps accuracy under trees or near terrain. Sensors for altitude and heading support navigation when reception is weak. Mode choice sets battery life, with expedition mode stretching it furthest.
