A convertible helmet that switches between full face, three quarter and half shell with a drop-down sun visor and speaker ready ear covers. Only DOT is listed, and the half shell mode gives far less protection.

Overview
Switching between full face, three quarter and half shell looks with one helmet is the trick of the ScorpionEXO Covert X. A magnetic front mask and rear comfort sleeve come off, and a tinted drop-down visor handles glare in any mode.
ScorpionEXO gives cruiser and street riders three looks in one lid, with a sun visor and Bluetooth friendly ear covers. Removing the mask trades away chin protection, so the open modes are a style choice more than a safety one.
Who it's for
Riders who switch between highway trips and short town runs get flexibility here. Sport and track riders should choose a fixed full face helmet.
Pros and cons
- Three riding configurations
- Drop-down tinted sun visor
- Spare clear visor included
- Speaker pockets in ear covers
- DOT only listed
- Open modes lose chin protection
- Heavy listed weight
Performance notes
A composite shell of fiberglass, aramid and resin spreads impact energy, and multi-layer EPS absorbs it. In open modes, protection depends on the remaining shell, so the mask matters for crash coverage.
