Overview
Sublue designed the Vapor to push water through an enclosed jet in place of an open propeller. It ships with a battery, a standard charger, camera accessories and an anti-lost lanyard.
Heavy thrust and a big battery suit longer dives and free diving sessions, and the kit includes most of what is needed. The limitation is that the listing carries just a title as a description, so details come from specs only.
Who it's for
Divers who cover long distances underwater will use the thrust and runtime, and the battery warranty helps. Casual swimmers and anyone who needs a lighter unit should consider a smaller scooter.
Pros and cons
- Strong thrust from the pump-jet
- Large battery included
- Camera accessories included
- Separate machine and battery warranty
- Heavy for casual use
- No care instructions listed
- Only a title as the description
Performance notes
A pump-jet drive draws water in and expels it through a nozzle, so the blades sit inside a housing and less is exposed. Thrust is quoted in kilograms of force, and the speed gear and battery charge decide how long that thrust lasts.
