Overview
A stained glass studio or a window repair bench is where this Toyo cutter does its work. The carbide wheel scores glass cleanly, and the paddle on the acrylic barrel rotates to four positions to fit most hands.
An adjustable grip reduces hand strain on long cutting sessions, and the wheel is made to last. The listing does not say whether the barrel holds cutting oil, and the color is chosen at random.
Who it's for
Hobbyists and pros scoring sheet glass for hours will value the grip. Those cutting circles need a different tool.
Pros and cons
- Carbide scoring wheel
- Good on thicker glass
- Made in Japan
- Random color shipped
- Oil reservoir not mentioned
- Straight cuts only
Performance notes
The wheel angle and hardness decide how cleanly the score runs, which is what makes the break follow the line. Steady, even pressure with one pass gives the cleanest result.
