- 6 cup, 10 oz stovetop Moka pot in food grade cast aluminum
- Built in safety valve regulates internal brewing pressure
- Heat resistant handle and lid knob for stovetop use
- Hand wash only, not dishwasher safe
Who it's for
Someone who wants a stronger, more concentrated stovetop cup without buying an electric espresso machine, and does not mind a few minutes of hands on brewing. Not for anyone wanting hands off, one button espresso.
Pros and cons
- Produces a notably strong, concentrated cup versus drip coffee
- Heat resistant handle stays comfortable to hold during brewing
- Simple to clean, rinse with warm water and air dry
- Hand wash only, not dishwasher safe
- Slower than an electric machine, and the first cup may need a short learning curve
Performance notes
Heat builds pressure in the base chamber, which pushes water up through the coffee and filter into the top chamber, the mechanism behind Moka pot strength compared with drip brewing. A built in safety valve regulates that pressure during brewing.
