Overview
An IFAK style trauma kit built around a genuine CAT tourniquet, two chest seals, sterile gauze and a 36 inch splint, designed for serious bleeding control rather than minor cuts. The bag has a rip away panel and mounts to a vehicle headrest.
It is built for stopping serious bleeding and immobilizing fractures, not for scraped knees, and the rip away panel is meant to get it off a headrest or pack fast when seconds matter.
- Genuine CAT tourniquet included
- 36 inch splint plus triangle and elastic bandages
- Rip away panel, headrest mountable
- Two chest seals and sterile gauze for bleeding control
Who it's for
Drivers, hunters and campers who want genuine trauma control supplies in the car or pack, not just bandages. Buyers wanting hemostatic gauze on top of standard gauze should plan to add their own.
Pros and cons
- Genuine CAT tourniquet with correct markings
- Two chest seals plus sterile gauze for bleeding control
- 36 inch splint with triangle and elastic bandages
- Rip away panel, mounts to a vehicle headrest
- Only available in red
- Bag runs fairly bulky for some vehicles
Performance notes
The rip away panel lets the bag come off a headrest or pack mount in one motion, and interior compartments are laid out so a tourniquet, chest seals, gauze and splint can each be found without digging. The 36 inch splint works with a triangle and elastic bandage to immobilize a fractured limb, while abrasion resistant materials keep the bag functional after rough handling.
