Overview
The Canyon Stoic 4 is an aluminum hardtail mountain bike with a 140mm RockShox Pike Select fork, SRAM hydraulic disc brakes, and a Shimano 12-speed Deore drivetrain, aimed at aggressive trail and freeride use.
As a hardtail, the Stoic 4 trades rear suspension for a lighter, more direct feel, backed by slack, long-reach geometry meant for descending.
- 140mm RockShox Pike Select fork
- Shimano 12-speed Deore drivetrain
- SRAM hydraulic disc brakes
- 29 inch or 27.5 inch tires depending on size
Who it's for
Riders who want a capable, well-specced hardtail for aggressive trails and do not mind inspecting a direct-ship bike carefully on arrival. Buyers who want assurance of a first-owner, undamaged unit out of the box may want to buy through a shop instead given the shipping issues reported here.
Pros and cons
- 140mm RockShox Pike Select fork
- Shimano 12-speed Deore drivetrain
- SRAM hydraulic disc brakes and dropper post
- Buyers who received good units praised value for aggressive trail riding straight out of the box
Performance notes
A 140mm RockShox Pike Select fork absorbs big hits up front, while the Shimano 12-speed Deore drivetrain handles shifting on climbs and descents. SRAM hydraulic disc brakes and a dropper post complete the trail-ready build, with 29 inch or 27.5 inch tires depending on frame size.
