Overview
The ARENTI Baby12SM+3M is a wireless video monitor with a 2K camera and color night vision, weighing just over a kilogram. The plus sign in the model name suggests it can pair an additional camera to the same monitor.
2K resolution puts this ahead of the 720p and 1080p monitors common in the category, and color night vision is a step beyond the grainy black and white feed of cheaper units. It runs on corded power, so camera placement is limited by outlet access.
- 2K resolution camera
- Color night vision
- Wireless connectivity
- Corded electric power
Who it's for
Suits parents who want a sharper picture and color night vision over a basic audio-only or low-res video monitor. Less suited to households needing a battery-powered camera they can reposition freely.
Pros and cons
- 2K camera resolution
- Color night vision, not just infrared
- Wireless connection to the monitor
- Corded electric power limits camera placement
- Just over 1 kg, heavier than compact monitors
Performance notes
Color night vision relies on the camera's own light source and typically shows more detail than the infrared black and white feeds on lower end monitors. Being corded electric means the camera stays wherever the outlet is, unlike battery models that can be repositioned freely.
