Overview
Lifting a removable tray free, rather than picking meat out of exposed spikes, is the selling point of Feastmate's 10.5 inch FM-BLK01 chicken shredder. Dual ergonomic handles and a rubber base target home cooks making tacos, pulled pork, or meal prep batches.
It ships assembled, and the base is built to sit on a countertop rather than needing to be clamped down.
- Removable 3 layer tray lifts meat out
- Dual ergonomic handles for turning
- Top rack dishwasher safe, rated 356F
- Soap dispensing cleaning brush included
Who it's for
Fits households that shred chicken or pork often enough to notice how annoying it is to dig meat out of exposed spikes. Occasional users who shred a breast or two a month may not need the tray upgrade.
Pros and cons
- Removable tray lifts meat out, no digging
- Two handles ease turning on full loads
- Top rack dishwasher safe to 356F
- Soap dispensing brush included for cleanup
- Whole breasts sometimes need cutting thinner first
- Loaded shredder needs real force to turn
Performance notes
Two ergonomic handles twist the lid against the base so the inner teeth tear apart cooked meat, while the three layer tray sits above the spikes so shredded meat collects on top and lifts free in one motion instead of being picked out. Feastmate rates the plastic to 356 degrees F and top rack dishwasher safe.
