Overview
The Metabo NR1890DRA is an 18 volt cordless nailer weighing 8.4 pounds, built for framing or trim work without a hose or compressor. Suited to tradespeople and DIYers who want cordless mobility on a jobsite.
Cordless nailers trade compressor hassle for battery weight on the tool itself. At 8.4 pounds this sits on the heavier end for handheld use, so expect some fatigue on extended overhead runs. No review history is attached yet, so buyers are working from the spec sheet and the Metabo name rather than field feedback.
- 18 volt battery power source
- 8.4 pound tool weight
- Blend material construction
- Battery included in listing
Who it's for
Framers, deck builders and remodelers who want a compressor-free nailer for mobile work. Less suited to occasional hobbyists who would get more value from a lighter, cheaper corded or pneumatic option.
Pros and cons
- Cordless, no compressor required
- 18V battery included
- Suited to framing-weight fastening
- 8.4 pounds is heavy for extended overhead use
- No review history yet to confirm durability
Performance notes
Running on 18V battery power removes the hose and compressor from the workflow, letting the nailer move freely around a site. At 8.4 pounds it carries typical mass for a cordless framing nailer, which affects control during overhead or one-handed work more than a lighter finish nailer would.
