A large, powerful gaming laptop with a bright Mini LED screen and serious cooling for desktop-class play. It is heavy and big, so it serves as a desk replacement more than a travel machine.

Overview
A vapor chamber, three fans and liquid metal on the chip carry heat out of this ASUS ROG Strix Scar, so the Core Ultra processor and RTX graphics can run hard for long sessions. A MUX switch routes frames straight from the graphics card.
Desktop-class power with a bright, high refresh Mini LED screen makes it a full gaming station that folds shut. Its weight and footprint make daily carrying a chore.
Who it's for
Serious players and streamers who move between rooms or events get high frame rates and room to upgrade. Commuters wanting a light bag should look at a thinner model.
Pros and cons
- Very fast CPU and GPU pairing
- Bright Mini LED with many zones
- Strong cooling with liquid metal
- Tool-free memory and SSD upgrades
- Heavy to carry
- RAM listed at a maximum of 32GB
- One year warranty
Performance notes
Sustained frame rates depend on the cooling system holding temperatures under load, which the vapor chamber and liquid metal address. The MUX switch skips the integrated graphics for extra speed, while Advanced Optimus switches back to save battery.
