Overview
Curious kids from preschool age get a globe that comes alive when scanned with a phone or tablet running the free Orboot app, showing animals, landmarks and cultures. A light switch reveals constellations, and a black light stylus adds hidden drawing.
Pairing a physical globe with games and quizzes makes learning hands on and on screen at once. Without a compatible device, most of the content is unavailable.
Who it's for
Kids four and up who love animals, maps and stars will explore for hours with a parent's device. Families wanting a screen free globe should choose a classic illuminated one.
Pros and cons
- Constellation mode lights up
- Games, quizzes and quests
- Hidden drawing with black light
- Passport and stickers add play
- Device not included
- Most content needs the app
- Battery details not listed
Performance notes
Learning happens when the app recognizes the globe through the camera and overlays content on screen, so lighting and a steady hand matter for scanning. The constellation and black light features work off the globe itself, giving some play without the app.
