Overview
Busy families get a large GE electric dryer with steam to cut wrinkles and a sanitize cycle to kill bacteria. The app shows progress remotely, and the aluminized steel drum resists corrosion.
Steam refresh and sanitizing add real use beyond basic drying, especially for bedding and kids' clothes. Venting length, cycle count and noise are not in the listing.
Who it's for
Large households with bedding and allergy concerns suit a big steam dryer. Homes set up for gas drying need a gas model.
Pros and cons
- Large capacity drum
- Steam reduces wrinkles
- Remote monitoring by app
- ENERGY STAR certified
- Color listed inconsistently
- Venting details not listed
- Cycle count not listed
Performance notes
Steam relaxes fibers so wrinkles fall out, and the sanitize cycle relies on sustained heat. Drying speed depends on vent length and load size, neither of which the listing details.
