Overview
Shooting with the BF means fewer buttons: a dial, three haptic buttons and a touchscreen hold every setting, with the main controls on the live view. Its aluminum unibody houses a full-frame sensor and enough internal memory to skip cards.
Built-in storage and a pared-down interface let you focus on composition rather than menus. The minimal controls may slow photographers used to many dedicated dials.
Who it's for
Street, travel and everyday photographers who value design and simplicity get a distinctive tool. Sports and wildlife shooters who rely on many physical controls may prefer a conventional body.
Pros and cons
- Large internal storage
- Simple haptic controls
- 6K video with L-Log
- Many color modes
- Not water resistant
- No built-in flash
- Few physical controls
Performance notes
Image quality comes from the full-frame BSI sensor, and the hybrid autofocus detects people and pets for reliable focus. Storing files internally avoids card slowdowns, while the rigid aluminum body balances well with L-Mount lenses.
