Overview
Not a WiFi security camera, the Amyway mini camera is a compact recorder that stores video on built-in memory. It loops over old footage and has an automatic night shooting mode.
Recording without a network means no app setup and no cloud account. The spec sheet is thin and partly generic, with no battery runtime, field of view or mount listed.
Who it's for
Indoor recording where WiFi is absent or unwanted suits an offline loop recorder. People who want live alerts or phone streaming need a networked camera.
Pros and cons
- Works without WiFi or an app
- Large built-in storage
- Loop recording overwrites old files
- Night shooting mode listed
- Battery runtime not listed
- Not water resistant
- Mono audio only
Performance notes
Footage quality depends on the small sensor and fixed lens, so even indoor lighting matters most. Loop recording means the oldest clips are overwritten once memory fills, so important clips must be copied off.
